My Awesome Mixtape

My Awesome Mixtape by Clinton Sparks is one of the better mix tapes that has recently came out in past several months. In the duration of the mix tape, Clinton Sparks takes many of the recent hit censations and give them his own twist to them. Clinton sparks is a DJ who started in 1998, when he began his first radio mix show through SupeRadio. However he has just started to get big, with his first grammy nomination for the song "Bloody Mary" by Lady Gaga. I first herd this album on the GoodMusicAllDay site, their I listened to several of the songs and seem to enjoy listening to most of them.

The mix tape starts out at a very fast beat, and seems to retain that pace through out the whole mix tape. This mix tape is one of those mix tapes that i think of when i want to listen and dance too. It creates a very energetic vibe to each and every song, which I thought was good idea because it keeps the listens wanting to hear more. One down flaw of this mix tape is the length of it, the total time come out near one hour. Now in some cases that is good like if you are at a party and wanting to dance till the break of dawn but if you are just looking for a quick mixture to listen too then this may not be the one. Another thing i liked was how he took songs that where not really hip hop based and created a different background beat for the lyrics and made them into a hip-hop song. Another flaw of the mix tape is that in order for you to listen to the all the song and for them to sound normal, you have to listen to them in order. That means that you can really listen to them in shuffle because they won't flow. So the mix tape is almost like one big song, that is almost an hour long.

My favorite song form this album is most definitely "Suck To Be You" by Clinton Sparks. The way this song has a sweet beat and a kicking base line to back it up, just sticks out to me. This song also tell the listens that cheating on someone and be jealous of what they look like not must suck. I also really like how in the intro to the mix tape Samuel L. Jackson talks about the path to the becoming the greatest DJ. In the After Show clinton Sparks talks about how it takes hard work and late nights to reach the point that he is at his life and that he does it all for his fans. Now that is a true DJ in my eyes. It is mix tapes like these that can make and break a career for a DJ and Clinton Sparks killed it on this one.

  1. This essay is well formed, you had planed it out very well, you give alot of imformation and you give some opinion. Why do you love fast beats? There are also some spelling errors in your essay, sometimes you forget to capitalize your "I"'s and you spelled "form" instead of from.

  2. Indiefish has just mentioned a few of the grammatical issues with the piece. You write with passion, and you're interesting--you have no shortage of thoughts, that's for sure--but if your message is going to be effective, it needs to be presented more professionally. You will find that people discount your opinion if they can call your judgment into question based simply on lack of care for presenting your argument. That means they can use poor grammar as an excuse for denying your valuable opinion. I know you may not think grammar matters, and it may not in some of the places you visit online, but let me assure you that it does matter. There are a few cases where the grammar interferes with your message, and you need to focus your corrections there.

    Writing tips:
    1. You have a lot of problems with the Big 16. Time to figure those out!
    2. The lowercase I bums me out. It does not interfere with your message. Rather, it sends a message all its own. It's a very negative message to send to your writing teacher that you don't care enough to do something a third grader knows to do in his writing.
    3. Now that we've looked at types of sentences and done some sentence combining, can you spot a few of the run-ons here? Example: "I first herd this album on the GoodMusicAllDay site, their I listened to several of the songs and seem to enjoy listening to most of them." I first heard this album on the GoodMusicAllDay site. There, I listened to several of the songs and seemed to enjoy listening to most of them.
